You are here:

Where can I put the bin?

Preferably inside your property. Our drivers are happy to work with you to discuss your options for the best and safest placement when they arrive to your site. Deliveries to commercial properties should be verified with the strata.

Do we need a permit?

Newcastle Council require permits when a bin is places in public land or council owned property. At this stage permits are not required in Lake Macquarie or Central Coast Councils.

Can I move the bin after delivery?

Bins should not be moved as they may no longer be accessible for collection. Additionally moving the bins risks causing damage to either your property or the bin itself, both of which you will be liable for.

How much notice to I need to give to book in a bin?

We recommend a days notice. If you are planning ahead or want to ensure you get a bin at particularly busy times, like before a long weekend, more notice is always better. We can often get same day deliveries done in our local area but cannot guarantee them.

How long can I have the bin for?

General bin hire is for a 7 day period. If you think you will need it longer or in the instance of renovation please discuss it with us at the time of booking and we can assist you in organising it.

Can I specify a delivery time?

If you have a specific delivery time required please let us know and we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs where time, planning and traffic allows.

When do I pay?

Payment is required at the time of booking or delivery. For your convenience we accept cash or credit card or can provide banking details for those that wish to EFT prior to the delivery date.

How high can the bin be filled?

To comply with NSW road safety rules the bin should not be filled above the rim of the bin. If the bin is overfilled and anything falls off during transportation if potentially becomes a missile and can cause danger to any following traffic. If the bin is overfilled the excess will need to be removed before the bin can be collected which may result in additional charges.

What if someone else fills my bin?

As the hirer of the bin you are solely responsible for what goes into it. If you are concerned this may happen we would perhaps recommend placing a tarp over the top to restrict access and deter others from using it.

Are there weight restrictions with my bin?

Weight inclusions are only applicable to building waste bins due to the heavier nature of the waste. We highly recommend using separate masonry bins on building/renovations sites to recycle the heavier items which will massively reduce any additional waste charges.

Is there anything I cannot put in the bin?

We cannot accept gas bottles, liquid paint, chemical waste food scraps, oils or asbestos (except within specified asbestos waste hired bins).

Are there any extra charges?

Due to additional charges at the tip face we need to charge additional fees for the following:

  • Mattresses: $40 per mattress
  • Car tyres: $30 per tyre
  • Truck tyres: $40 per tyre
